Today, while the sun was shining, I took out my Chris Reeve Knives folders, and made some pictures!

Dirk de Wit knives
The
atlas in the background is a reproduction of a 1698 atlas by a fellow
named Frederick De Wit. He might be a very distant forefather of Dirk de
Wit, who, you guessed it, made the 2 knives. The top one he calls his
"revalidation" knife, and is part of a series which was made after Dirk
got struck by disease. Damasteel blade, brass handle, micarta scales.
The bottom one is a knife that Dirk built on my request. Damasteel blade,
mammoth ivory inlays. Fit and finish on both knives are second to none.
Dirk is one of the greatest folding knife makers in my opinion.

Heinz Kocher
Here's a picture of my 3 Heinz Kocher knives. I don't know much about
this maker, but I do know that they are some of the most nicely fitted
and finished knives I've seen. All 3 have some kind of "assisted
opening" mechanism, that makes the blade open a little bit. All 3
mechanism are different. This man is a technical genius! Handle material
on the top one is Desert Ironwood, on the bottom one Mother of Pearl, on the middle one "Katec".

I haven't posted here in a long time. But I decided to re-start this blog, and also made a facebook "bloggers" page.
Last knives I posted here were from 2012, so I have a lot of catching up to do!
Here's a "teaser" pic with my latest knives, purchased on the DKE knifeshow.
Top to bottom:
- big "frontflipper" by Martin Annegarn (MaKnives)
- a little brass "Bolt-Action" pen, made by Jan Pap
- a small kitchen knife made by Alessio Salsi
- an assisted-opening folder made by Heinz Kocher
Kind regards,
Jos.
